I grew up in Eastern Iowa and started in the banking industry when I was in high school. I have been in Real Estate lending in different capacities for the past 21 years and originating loans for the past 11 years.
I feel volunteering is important to make a strong community. I have served on several boards within the Newton community including Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, Newton Development Corporation, Newton Housing Development Corporation and Newton Main Street. I also help organize the annual 4th of July parade every year and have recently started a non-profit for Christian music festivals in Jasper County.
My husband and I moved to Newton in 2009. I spend a lot of my time outside the office watching my son run cross country or play in golf tournaments as well as watch my daughter and the Newton Pacesetters perform. I’m a busy working Mom/wife and wouldn’t have it any other way.
